The Brief

Drive consumer interest and bookings for Crete across key European and Asian markets, specifically Munich, Mumbai and Shanghai, through an innovative, engaging global campaign that brought the destination to life beyond traditional advertising.

Our Strategy

We created “Take a Peek at Crete”, an immersive live-stream activation designed to put consumers face-to-face with the island in real time. In Munich, we took over the largest shopping mall in Bavaria with a sensory experience that live-streamed directly from Crete, letting visitors connect with Cretans as they danced, sang, cooked and shared their traditions, alongside on-site tastings of Cretan food and delicacies. We extended the campaign into Asia with media and trade roadshow events in Mumbai and Shanghai, bringing the island’s culture and tourism offer directly to high-priority target markets.

The Results

  • 57,000 visitors engaged across 2 days at the Munich activation
  • Immersive consumer reach delivered in Bavaria’s biggest shopping mall
  • Roadshow events successfully delivered with media and trade partners in Mumbai and Shanghai
